37 local levels yet to submit their budget

KATHMANDU: Altogether 37 local levels have not submitted their budget for fiscal year 2020/21 at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration so far.

According to the spokesperson at the Ministry, Basanta Adhikari these local units are still failing to submit their budget details at the Ministry.

The local levels should compulsorily submit their budgets after endorsement from their respective assemblies.
A total of 32 local levels in Province-2 are still not sending their budget at the Ministry.

Similarly, two local levels in Province-1 and Bagmati Province, and one local level in Sudur Pashchim have not submitted their budgets so far.

It may be noted that all these local levels failing to submit their budget details had however endorsed the budget in stipulated time.
