Police nab three people with one kg gold in Dang



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons in Dang with one kg gold.

The gold was found while inspecting a white car (Province 3-01023 Cha 3261) on the East-West Highway at Ameliya in Lamahi Municipality-9 of Dang on Thursday morning.

According to Dang District Police Office Spokesperson and DSP Sumit Khadka, Kumar Shrestha, who was riding the car, was found hiding 500 grams of gold in both shoes.

Police also seized 2.306 tola gold chain and Rs 60,000 in cash from Shrestha.

A silver chain and Rs 1,120 in cash were recovered from Apurva Thaiv Shrestha and Rs 12,250 in cash from driver Subash Shrestha, said Spokesperson Khadka.
