Market monitoring in the wake of festival



DOTI: With the approaching Dashain festival, the local levels here have intensified the market monitoring at major commercial centers as Pipalla, Rajpur, Silgadhi, Gopghat, BP Nagar and Budar.

The market places, industries and hotels closed for long due to the spread of coronavirus have opened in view of the coming Dashain and Tihar festivals.

Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality has intensified the market monitoring after the local bazaars are crowded lately. Food Technology and Quality Control Division Office of Silgadhi has informed that market monitoring was prioritized to ensure quality of foods.

A joint monitoring team of the District Administration Office, Food Technology and Quality Control Division Office and Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality are conducting the monitoring of foods whether they are fresh or date expired.

The groceries, vegetable shops, sweets shops and suppliers were monitored at Silgadhi, Pipalla, Dipayal and Rajpur bazaar.

The monitoring is expected to curb black marketing and check price hike, said coordinator of the monitoring committee, Shivaraj Khadka.
