Talks between govt and Dr KC’s representatives underway



KATHMANDU: Talks between the government team and Dr Govinda KC’s representatives have begun at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Singha Durbar.

It may be noted that the government on Wednesday formed a team to hold talks with Dr Govinda KC, who is staging a fast-unto-death at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).

Dr KC, who is on the 25th day of his 19th fast-unto-death at the TUTH started his hunger strike calling for implementation of his past agreements reached with the government.

Campaigner for reforms in the medical sector in Nepal, Dr KC has said he would not break his hunger strike this time until the reliable base is formed for the implementation of his past agreements.
