Nepali national held on bank robbery charges in USA



MARYLAND: A Nepali national has been arrested on the charge of a bank robbery at a knifepoint in the United States of America.

Montgomery County Police Department, Maryland, arrested Nepali national Samrat Lama for allegedly robbing the branch of Wells Fargo Bank located at 607 North Frederick Avenue.

The bank was robbed at 10:2 am on Tuesday according to the local time, reported localdvm.com, a news portal. According to the authorities, Lama barged into the bank and looted the money at a knifepoint and fled the scene.

Police arrested Lama while he was decamping with the money. Lama has been sent to the central processing unit and a case has been filed against him on the charge of robbery.
