Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 306 as six more die in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded six new coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 306, the Ministry of Health and Population stated.

In a regular press briefing on Tuesday afternoon, Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that five males and one female have died of the pandemic.

A 70-year-old man in Sunsari, two men aged 54 and 60 years in Parsa, an 85-year-old man in Kathmandu and a 62-year-old man in Kapilvastu died of the coronavirus.

Likewise, a woman aged 80 years succumbed to the pandemic in Kathmandu, Spokesperson Dr. Gautam said.

Nepal had recorded 11 COVID-19 deaths on Monday.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded 902 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. With the new cases, Nepal’s caseload has reached 48,138.
