Police seize 12,900 units of drugs from Bhaktapur



KATHMANDU: The Crime Investigation Department has arrested two persons with a large quantity of drugs from Bhaktapur.

The two were coming from Birgunj in a truck (Na 3 Kha 9089).

Police said 12,900 bags of drugs were nabbed from Salaghari in Bhaktapur. The Metropolitan Crime Branch nabbed two persons involved in drug trafficking, said SSP Deepak Thapa.

Among the arrested are Dambar Bahadur Pradhan, 37, and Bishnu Pradhan, 36, of Barhabise in Sindhupalchowk district.

Police have seized 9,300 ampoules of diazepam and 3,600 units of nitrozepam, according to the department.
