KATHMANDU: India has surpassed America in terms of the number of single day coronavirus infection cases.
America has 40,000 single day infection cases in average while the single day coronavirus infection cases in India has reached 80,000 on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, more than 75,000 people have been infected in the past 24 hours in India.
With 75,022 infection cases in a single day, the number of infection cases has reached 4,277,584 in India as of Tuesday morning.
Among those infected, 3,321,420 have recovered from the virus while 883, 348 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals.
Similarly, the death toll from the virus in India has crossed 72,000.
With 1,129 deaths in the past 24 hours, the total number of death has reached 72,816 in India, according to Worldometer.
