Nepal reports three more COVID-19 deaths, death toll reaches 73



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s death toll from coronavirus reached 73 as of Saturday afternoon after three deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that one each from Parsa, Morang and Kathmandu have succumbed to coronavirus.

A 74-year-old man from Birgunj in Parsa died while undergoing treatment at Gandak Hospital on Friday and a 58-year-old man from Biratnagar-9 in Morang succumbed to coronavirus at Koshi Hospital the same day.

Likewise, a 41-year-old woman from Tokha in Katmandu died while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital yesterday, he said.

Meanwhile, Nepal confirmed 378 fresh cases in the last 24 hours that took the national tally to 22,592.
