One week lockdown announced in Gaushala of Mahottari

GAUSHALA: The Gaushala Municipality of Mahottari has decided to enforce a lockdown in the city for a week following a surge in coronavirus cases.

Mayor Shiv Nath Mahato said that the decision to enforce the lockdown for one week starting from 11 pm on Sunday night was taken at an all-party discussion held at the municipality’s office on Saturday.

The meeting chaired by Mayor Mahato has decided to close marketplaces, banks and financial institutions and vehicles except for the much-needed pharmacies and health posts as the risk of the coronavirus spreading at the community level has increased.
