Gahanapokhari-Handigaun area in Kathmandu sealed after COVID-19 cases detected



KATHMANDU: After finding eight coronavirus cases in Kotal Tol of Handigaun lying east of Ghanapokhari, Gahanapokhari- Handigaun area of Kathmandu has been sealed on Saturday.

Ramesh Dangol, the ward chairperson of Kathmandu-5 informed that after finding 8 COVID-19 cases, the area has been completely sealed from Saturday.

Among the coronavirus cases include some members of Nepal Police, their family members and the local landlords.

One policeman was found coronavirus positive last Thursday and later four other members also tested positive.

Five more people who came into contact with them also tested positive on Friday.

“Now, we have sealed the area. We will have COVID-19 committee’s meeting of the ward tomorrow and will decide further measures,” Ward Chair Dangol said.
