KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly are being screened for COVID-19 tests before the start of the budget session slated for Friday.

Swab samples of lawmakers of the National Assembly were collected from 10 am and those representing the House of Representatives from 11 am at the Federal Parliament Building premises in New Baneshwor on Thursday.

The samples will be tested through the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method.

Arrangements have been made to maintain distance between the parliamentarians while seated in the Parliament meeting starting from Friday. Lawmakers must wear masks and check their fever before entering the building.
