Japan to declare ‘state of emergency’ to curb coronavirus

Presenting itself tough against coronavirus, Japan has decided to  declare the state of emergency.

The state of emergency, to be announced on Tuesday will last for approximately one month.

The country has decided to go for this measure after getting 252 new cases of the coronavirus and seven more deaths Monday, bringing the total number of infections to over 4,600, with 91 deaths in the country.

Earlier, Abe seemed liberal and was cricitised for not enforcing emergency measures earlier.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has reiterated in staying inside and maintain social distance.

Tokyo, the capital city is one of the hard hits in the country where the medics declared a state of emergency, citing a possible collapse of the healthcare system.
