NCP senior leader Nepal refutes involvement in Lalita Niwas land scam

BIRATNAGAR: Former Prime Minister and senior leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Madhav Kumar Nepal, today refuted his involvement in the controversial Lalita Niwas land grab scam.

Speaking to journalists at the Biratnagar Airport today, leader Nepal refuted to have made any decisions on the issue while he was the prime minister.

NCP senior leader Nepal clarified the issue two days after the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) said the anti-graft body did not indict him on the case as the decision he made as the Prime Minister does not fall under the CIAA’s jurisdiction.

The CIAA had on Wednesday filed a charge sheet against 175 persons at the Special Court.
