1 killed, 5 injured as Scorpio turns turtle in Sarlahi

SARLAHI: A person died and five others sustained injuries when a Mahindra Scorpio turned turtle at Laxmipur in Haripur municipality-6 along the Nawalpur-Malangawa road section on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Indian national 38-year-old Pramod Sada, confirmed police.

The Scorpio, BR 06 PD 3637, met with the accident while it was heading to Nawalpur from the district headquarters Malangawa.

The others injured in the accident are Indian national 35-year-old Sanjaa Sada, Akalaya Devi, 30, Radhika Kumari, 1, Amarjit Ram, 40, and Scorpio driver of Hariwan municipality-4, Mohammad Raftar. They are undergoing treatment at Namuna Hospital Hariwan.

The investigation into the accident is underway, said Police inspector Bikram Sah.
