VNY 2020 being inaugurated in Australia amid tragic incidences of fire



KATHMANDU: Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 is being launched from Sydney, Australia on Tuesday amid the tragic incidences of fire in Australia.

The international inaugural of VNY is being organized by Nepali Embassy in Australia and Non-Resident Nepalis’ Association in Sydney, the VNY Secretariat has said.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai had reached Sydney to inaugurate the event.

Earlier, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had inaugurated the VNY in Kathmandu on January 1.

The government has aimed at bringing in 2 million tourists in 2020.
