19-yr-old caught while breaking ATM to steal money

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man while he was smashing an automated teller machine (ATM) of NIC Asia Bank based at Munni Bhairab in Kathmandu.

The arrested has been identified as 19-year-old Anil Tamang of Bahrabise, Sindhupalchowk, currently staying at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad of Metropolitan Police Sector, Koteshwor caught Tamang red-handed while he was trying to steal the money by breaking the ATM.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking Tamang under control.
