500-bed Covid-19 hospital set up in Parbat



PARBAT: Paiyun Rural Municipality of Parbat has established a 500-bed Covid-19 temporary hospital. The hospital is at Huwas, the centre of the rural municipality.

Two nurses have been appointed and preparation is underway to appoint doctor as well, said Chief Administrative Officer at Paiyun Rural Municipality, Netra Prasad Poudel.

The hospital begins service after the doctor is appointed. Even a quarantine accommodating 10 persons have been set up in the Senior Citizen Building. Earlier, the infected ones had to be sent to Kusma isolation center.

With the establishment of isolation and quarantine in the locality, the people here have been happy, according to Chairperson of rural municipality, Khagendra Prasad Tiwari.

Public awareness was raised against Covid-19. “Not fear but precaution was stressed during the awareness campaign,” he underscored.

The Chairperson further informed that development activities were intensified despite the spread of coronavirus.
The government has released a budget to set up Covid-19 hospital at each local level.

Even other local levels in the district have begun the process to set up hospital.
