Kathmandu Valley witnesses 1,512 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,512 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,294 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 77 in Bhaktapur and 141 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,753 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 1,91,636 with fresh cases as of Saturday afternoon.

A total of 2,206 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 1,55,114 in the country.

Nepal currently has 35,435 active cases.

Likewise, 1,144 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 17 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,087, the Ministry confirmed.
