Over 18,000 Nepalis return from Saudi Arabia

SAUDI ARABIA: The number of Nepalis returning home from Saudi Arabia due to situations created by the coronavirus pandemic is increasing daily.

So far, 18,482 people have returned home, and more than 100 bodies have been sent.

Chartered flights for repatriation have been operated by Nepal Airlines and Himalaya Airlines as well as Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, Al Jazeera, and Salaam Airlines.

The Saudi government has so far issued exit visas to 1,216 Nepalis who have not renewed their iqama while working for the company.
