WASHINGTON: Democratic candidate Joe Biden has widened lead in decisive states, including Pennsylvania.

He has leads in Nevada, Pennsylvania and Georgia, putting Biden in a much stronger position to capture the 270 Electoral College votes needed to take him the White House, AP reports.

The major focus was on Pennsylvania, where Biden led Republican Donald Trump by more than 16,000 votes.

Likewise, in Nevada, Biden led by about 22,000.

Biden’s aides said he would address the nation in primetime from Wilmington, Delaware.

The vote count continues, Trump stayed in the White House, expanding Biden’s lead in Pennsylvania.

President Donald Trump has, meanwhile, asserted he has won the election.

He has complained of “tremendous corruption and fraud in the mail-in ballots”, without any concrete evidence.

The Trump team is pressing legal challenges in several states.
