TAMGHAS: A man has been arrested on the charge of murdering his father.
A resident of Isma rural municipality-4, Anil Basnet, 28, was arrested on Tuesday evening.
The incident took place last Sunday, when he physically assaulted his father Dil Bahadur Basnet,60, who died on the way to the hospital.
Anil was arrested from his relatives’ home in Harpukot in the same ward of the municipality.
He was arrested following a tip-off that he was at his aunt’s home, said information officer at the District Police Office Kedar Nath Pantha.
Anil has reportedly confessed to his crime. He is currently in police custody awaiting a legal trial.
