NHRC urges government to initiate dialogue with Dr KC

KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has asked the government to make public the state of implementation of past agreements made with Dr Govinda KC.

In a statement issued today, the NHRC has also asked the government to initiate dialogue with Dr KC, who is on the 24th day of his 19th fast-unto-death at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).

The NHRC has also urged the government to become sensitive toward Dr KC’s health.

Urging the government to resolve it through dialogue, the NHRC has also urged Dr KC to not adopt the fast-unto death, which can even put life under risk.
