Two killed after jeep plunges into river



TANAHUN: Two people died when the jeep they were traveling in fell about 70 meters down into a rivulet at Deulikhola in Rhising Rural Municipality-1 of Tanahun district today. Six people were injured in the incident.

Those killed in the mishap are 32-year-old Hom Bahadur Shrestha of Myagde rural municipality and Raj Kumar Shrestha of Vyas Municipality-5 in the district, the district Police Office Tanahu said.

The jeep driver, Hom Bahadur, died on the spot while Raj Kumar breathed his last while being treated at Damauli Hospital, police said.

The jeep (registration number Ga 1 Ja 7128) was going towards Khalde of Rhising rural municipality from Chapaghat of Vyas Municipality-5.
