Heavy rainfall recorded in Sunsari, Saptari, Siraha and Udayapur



KATHMANDU:  Heavy rainfall is occurring in Barpak of Gorkha and Dharan of Sunsari district currently.

Barpak has recorded 106.6 millimeters of rainfall in the last 12 hours while Dharan recorded 83.2 millimeters of rainfall that occurred from 3 to 6 am today, according to a weather bulletin issued by the Meteorological Forecasting Division (FMD).

MFD has predicted heavy rains in one or two places in Pradesh 1, 2, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh and Pradesh 5 with generally to fully cloudy weather in these provinces.

With the low pressure monsoon trough locating in the southern direction of Nepal, heavy rainfall is occurring in some places and around Sunsari, Saptari, Siraha and Udayapur districts.

Meanwhile, people inhabiting along the banks of rivers in these districts are advised to take precautions as the rainfall might trigger floods in the human settlements.
