Gandaki Pradesh records 67 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: Sixty-seven additional people have been infected with the coronavirus in Gadaki Pradesh.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh on Monday, 31 were infected in Pokhara Metropolitan City, 18 in Gorkha, 15 in Nawalparasi East and three in Tanahun.

Among those infected in Pokhara metropolis,  two staff nurses aged 26 and 23 are from Paschimanchal Community Hospital while the other two aged 36 and 27 are hospital assistants.

Similarly, 25 infected with the COVID-19 are workers at Pokhara Foods and Pvt., Ltd. while the other two are (a male and female) the patients of the hospital.

Similarly, a 40-year-old from Debchuli municipality-12, Nawalparasi East is also a health worker, according to the press note.

The other infected include one from Gaindakot municipality and 14 from Debchuli municipality.

Likewise, 16 infected are from Gorkha municipality, Gorkha, two from Palungtar municipality and three from Byas municipality, said Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the spokesperson for the COVID-19 Control and Prevention Progarm of Gandaki Pradesh.
