Bagmati State provides relief materials to survivors of Lidi landslide

SINDHUPALCHOWK: Minister for Social Development from Bagmati State, Yubaraj Dulal, handed over relief stuff to the survivors of Lidi landslide in Sindhupalchowk district.

The relief materials were provided to the Bagmati State by Hope Airlines, Hope Mean family and social worker Wangchuk Rapten Lama.

As many as 172 households were provided food stuffs- each family getting 25 kg of rice, two kg of salt, five kg of pulse, four liter of cooking oil, two kg of sugar and a packet of tea.

The landslide occurred at Lidi of Jugal-3 Rural Municipality on August 14 had killed 36 persons. Three are still missing.

Likewise, a relief committee formed at Thori-4 of Parsa district had collected more than Rs 600 thousand for landslide survivors.
