Kathmandu Valley reports 106 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley has reported 106 fresh coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Friday afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that 92 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 11 in Lalitpur and three in Bhaktapur.

Tests conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory confirmed infection in 14 from Kathmandu and three from Lalitpur, 39 from Kathmandu, two from Bhaktapur and three from Lalitpur at Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital and five from Kathmandu, two from Lalitpur and one from Bhaktapur at Patan Hospital.

He added that four from Kathmandu tested positive at Bir Hospital, one from Kathmandu at TU teaching Hospital, seven from Kathmandu at Nepal Police Hospital, 11 from Kathmandu and one from Lalitpur at Star Hospital and two from Katmandu and one from Lalitpur were found infected in tests at BIDH Lab.

According to Dr. Gautam, four from Kathmandu tested positive at tests at HAMS Hospital, one each from Kathmandu and Lalitpur at Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital and four from Kathmandu at Surya Health Care.

Meanwhile, Nepal confirmed 464 fresh cases in the past 24 hours that took the national tally to 22,214.
