Landslide obstructs Prithvi Highway



DHADING: Prithvi Highway has been obstructed by a landslide triggered by heavy rains.

The highway was obstructed after the landslide occurred at Jawang of Jogimara.

The landslide triggered by heavy rains blocked the road after huge boulders fell down from above the road on Thursday, said District Traffic Police Chief Netra  Prasad Bhatta.

According to Bhatta, preparations are underway to clear the road by 10 am today.

Earlier, various parts of Prithvi Highway had been damaged due to landslides in the first week of Nepali month Shrawan.
