Rato Machchhindranath’s chariot procession put off



LALITPUR: A meeting of the District Administration Office Lalitpur today has decided to put off the chariot procession of Rato Machchhindranath and its related works.

Guthi Sansthan Office Lalitpur chief Rajan Bhuju shared that a letter was sent to Minnath Jwal chief Chirikaji Maharjan this afternoon.

Earlier, the chariot procession of ‘Raktawalokiteswor’ was scheduled for Wednesday. The cases of coronavirus-19 are gradually increasing in the globe.

The task of manufacturing chariot of Bungadayo (god of rain and harvest) was continued until today in Pulchowk.

Astrologers associated to the Machchhindranath Guthi on Wednesday termed the date for chariot procession to be auspicious.

Earlier, the Sansthan Office in Lalitpur had posted a notice on the wall based on Tabahal hall about the chariot procession.

“We have put off the program of chariot procession scheduled for Wednesday today due to present circumstances”, said Sansthan Lalitpur Office chief Bhuju.
