Over 130,000 drug users in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs, Ram Bahadur Thapa, has said the use of drugs has been a problem among youths in the country.

He said it was a matter of concern as youths are indulging in abuse of drugs.

Releasing a survey report on drugs users 2076 BS at the Home Ministry today, Minister Thapa said drug abuse among youths is spreading across the world as COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the report, as many as 130,424 youths are drug users in the country.

The number of drug users was 91,744 in 2069 BS.

The report was prepared reaching to 2000 users in different 43 districts.
