Landslides damage half dozen roads in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA: Vehicular movement along some of the rural roads in Dadeldhura has been disrupted after several roads are damaged by the landslides triggered by heavy rainfall.

Roads linking various local levels have been damaged, thereby causing sheer inconvenience to the people in movement and transportation of goods, according to Ugratara Dadeldhura Transport Pvt.

The Koteli-Dhankat, Dewal-Rajul, Bagarkot-Rupal, Koralkhola-Rel and Pokhara-Belapur roadways are completely damaged after heavy rains, according to Transport Office.

People are, therefore, bound to use stones and logs to avoid mud on the roadway along Amargadhi Municipality.

People visiting district headquarters have no option but to negotiate the roads in the sorry state.

A local from Nabadurga Municipality-1, Lokendra BK, shared the plight that the people were facing difficulty to reach district headquarters for marketing owing to lack of motorable roads.
