Cabinet meeting likely to appoint new IGP today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the cabinet has been scheduled for 4 pm today.

The meeting is likely to nominate new Inspector General of Police (IGP), sources said.

IGP Thakur Gyawali is retiring on Wednesday after completing his 30-year tenure in the police department.

Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Sailesh Thapa Chhetri and AIG Hari Bahadur Pal are in the race for the coveted post.
