Health Ministry appoints new spokesperson

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has appointed Dr Jageshwar Gautam as its new spokesperson.

Gautam, who has recently been transferred to the Ministry of Health, has been appointed as the spokesperson with the responsibility of the Coordination Division, said Raghuram Bista, Chief of Administration of the Ministry.

Earlier, he was the head of the Paropakar Maternity & Women’s Hospital.

Similarly, Dr. Bikash Devkota, former spokesperson, has been transferred to the Quality Measurement Division at Ministry. He had been serving as the spokesperson just before the spread of coronavirus spread in the country.
