KATHMANDU: The rainy weather coupled with gusty winds and lightning may continue for three more days.

Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) said the thunderstorm accompanied with lighting will continue until Friday. Currently, the weather is partly cloudy throughout the country, according to the Division.

According to Barun Paudel, a meteorologist, the rain coupled with thunderstorm and lightning will occur in some places in the hilly, eastern and Tarai regions towards the afternoon in the country today.

The rainy weather will continue due to the winds arriving from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, said MFD.

Janakpur has witnessed highest rainfall with 41.4 millimeters in the last 24 hours.
