UK 2nd worst-hit in terms of deaths with 29, 427



KATHMANDU: The death toll in the United Kingdom (UK) has reached 29, 427, becoming the second worst-hit in terms of deaths next to USA after 693 died in the last 24 hours.

According to Worldometer,  with 4, 406 new cases,  the number of infection cases has surged to 194, 990 as of Wednesday morning.

Currently, 165, 219 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1, 559 are critical.   UK has performed tests on 1,383,842  people so far.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 212 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 258,003 and infecting 3,724,144 people as of Wednesday morning.
