Decision to close schools not taken, clarifies Education Ministry

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has clarified that no decision has been taken to close schools.

Issuing a statement on Friday, the Ministry said that its attention has been drawn towards news that exams have been postponed and schools are being closed due to fear of coronavirus.

The ministry refuted rumors that the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) has been deferred, adding that the exams will be held on the scheduled date.
