HEATUDA: Today’s meeting of the Province-3 Province Assembly has unanimously endorsed the proposal on operational procedure naming the province -2076 BS.

The procedures got endorsed with the province assembly approving the proposal tabled by chief whip of Nepal Communist Party Rameswor Fuyal.

The proposal was seconded by chief whip of the main opposition Nepali Congress Radha Ghale and Province Assembly member Ramesh Poudel.

Taking part in the deliberations on the bill, province assembly members, including Dr. Rajendra Prasad Shrestha, Ramesh Poudel, Narottam Baidya, Om Bahadur Ghalan and Prateema Shrestha suggested to the province assembly to take decision on naming the province only after eliciting public inputs from 13 districts.

They also suggested to the assembly to form a separate task force to collect feedback from the public in the province-3 districts.

Following this, proposer Fuyal pledged to move ahead by incorporating the aspirations of province assembly members.

The next meeting of the province assembly will take place at 3.00 pm Wednesday.
