KATHMANDU: Meteorologists have said Kathmandu and other parts of the country will witness sunshine from the afternoon.

The westerly wind, even though on the wane,  will cause cloudy weather with chances of snowfall and rains  in the high hills and mountainous region in the western part of the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

Even though the rain and heavy snowfall are likely in highlands on Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather will  gradually improve from Thursday, Pratibha Manandhar, a meteorologist, told Khabarhub.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 1.6 degrees Celsius on Monday morning.
