KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse)  on Sunday went up by 16.9 points to settle at 1182.31 points.

Similarly, Sensitive Index, that assesses major companies, increased by 3.51 points to reach 255.69 points.

A total of 2, 082,000 units of shares worth Rs 712,335,000 from 173 companies  were sold on Sunday.

The shares of life insurance increased by 83.68 points, non-life insurance went by 59.29 points. Similarly, micro-finance increased by 40.24 points, Development Bank by 19.36 points while banking sub-index share went up by 16.74 points.

Shivam Cement topped the index in terms of transaction. It sold shares worth Rs 56,227,000  followed by NIC ASIA that witnessed a transaction of Rs 43,400,000.
