HETAUDA: The Industrial Survey that was halted due to ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic has resumed in Makawanpur and Dhading districts.

The survey that has taken place every ten years would be carried out by following health guidelines, said Rajesh Das, Chief of the District Statistics Office, Hetauda under the Central Bureau of Statistics.

“Data of 340 industries within the purview of the District Statistics Office, Makawanpur and 140 in Dhading district was collected during the survey,” he said.

Data of remaining 417 industries would be collected this time. He shared that the survey included various aspects of industrial sector’s contribution, prospects and challenges and situation of employment among others.

The survey that was supposed to commence from February 24 last year had been suspended due to outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent nation-wide lockdown ordered to contain the spread of the Coronavirus infection.

Those industries having at least 10 workers are considered eligible for the survey that was last conducted in 2010.
