Province 1 registers 315 fresh COVID-19 cases



BIRTANAGAR: The Ministry of Social Development stated 315 people have been infected with coronavirus in Province 1on Friday.

According to the ministry, 1,197 PCR tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 138 women and 177 men reported positive, the ministry said.

The infection has been confirmed in 123 people in Morang, 89 in Sunsari, 76 in Jhapa, six in Tehrathum, three each in Ilam, Dhankuta, and Bhojpur, two in Udayapur, one each in Taplejung, Okhaldhunga, and Sankhuwasabha, and seven outside the province.

The number of cases in the province has reached 21,117. A total of 350 infected people have been discharged after recovering on Friday, taking total recoveries to 13,046.
