Two men succumb to COVID-19 at Nobel Teaching Hospital



BIRATNAGAR:  Two men have died from coronavirus in the course of treatment at Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar on Tuesday morning.

The deceased are two males aged 50 and 45 from Morang district.

“A 50-year-old man of Kanepokhari rural municipality-6 and a 45-year-old man of Ratuwamai municipality-8 have succumbed to the virus at the wee hours on Tuesday,” informed Narayan Dahal, public information officer for the hospital.

The 50-year-old man who was hospitalized on Monday afternoon after he complained of high fever breathed his last at 3 am today.  His swab report came out positive on Monday evening. According to Dahal, the patient was suffering from chronic blood cancer.

Similarly, the 45-year-old man, who had been undergoing treatment since last September 29, passed away at 2:30 am today informed Dahal. He was being treated in isolation after being diagnosed with the COVID-19 since September 30.
