3 commit suicide in 24 hours in Mahottari



JANAKPURDHAM: Three persons have committed suicide in Mahottari in the last 24 hours.

According to DSP Prakash Bista, the spokesperson of District Police Office Mahottari, Rajnish Kumar Yadav, 15, Manoj Mahato Sudi, 36, and Ganeshi Thakur, 65, have committed suicide.

DSP Bista informed that Rajanish Kumar Yadav of Ekdara Rural Municipality-4, Halkhori hanged himself in his own house whereas Manoj Mahato of Gaushala -8 committed suicide by hanging himself in a mango tree near Pani Tanki 150 meters north west of his own house.

Similarly, Ganeshi Thakur of Bhangaha-7, Meghraul killed himself with hanging by his loincloth in a nearby mango tree.

The dead bodies have been handed back to their family members after postmortem.

According to Mahottari Police more than 20 people have committed suicide during lockdown and prohibitory order in Mahottari.
