Govt makes masks mandatory in public places

KATHMANDU: As a safety measure, the government has urged people to compulsorily wear face masks at public places.

Police can arrested people walking in public places without masks, according to the instruction from the Home Ministry.

According to the Home Ministry, people arrested will be punished as per the Infectious Disease Act 1964.

The instruction has been issued today as the safety measures in line with the recommendation by the Ministry of Health and Population.
