India overtakes Russia as 3rd worst-hit COVID-19 nation



KATHMANDU: India has overtaken Russia to become the third worst-hit country in terms of coronavirus infection cases across the world.

More than 697,000 people have been infected with the deadly virus while Russia has over 681,000 infection cases as of Monday morning.

As many as 13,856 people were infected in the last 24 hours. America and Brazil have more infection cases than India.

America has more than 2,982,000 infection cases followed by Brazil with 1,604,000.

Similarly, Pakistan is in the 12th position with over 228,000 infection cases.

India lies in the third position among those countries infected with coronavirus globally.
