XI exam thru schools’ internal assessment

KATHMANDU: The National Curriculum Development and Assessment Council led by Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel has decided that the school itself will conduct the examination of grade XI.

The examination of Grade XI will be held by the school itself said Keshab Dahal, Director General of the Curriculum Development Center.

The Council has entrusted the National Examination Board (NEB) to this effect. Meanwhile, the NEB has already started preparing its work procedure.

Earlier, the government had decided that the school will make internal assessment for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) and District Education Development and Coordination Unit will authenticate it before the grade sheets are issued by the NEB. It has been deiced so due to the situation caused by the COVID-19.

The exams of grade XII will be held once the situation will be favorable, according to authorities at the Ministry of Education.
