Youth who died at Bharatpur Hospital test COVID-19 negative



KATHMANDU: The coronavirus test report of a 27-year-old man from Madi who died while undergoing treatment in the ICU of Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan has come negative.

Dr. Pramod Poudel, COVID-19 Clinical Coordinator of the hospital informed that his test report was negative.

The man was admitted to the hospital after he had complained of respiratory complications and had died on Saturday morning in the course of treatment.

According to Poudel, he had a bout of fever and he was put on a ventilator this morning. His condition went worse and passed away at 10:30 am.

It is learnt that the youth had returned home from India 10 days ago. He had gone to New Delhi for the treatment of his fractured backbone eight months ago, according to his family sources.

He had been kept in quarantine upon his return from India. He was admitted to Bharatpur Hospital on Friday after he complained of fever and respiratory problems.
