Fire guts property worth Rs 1.8 million



SANKHUWASABHA: Property worth over Rs 1.8 million was reduced to ashes in a fire that occurred at Chichila Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasabha district.

The fire sparked from the cooking gas stove on Friday destroyed the house of Karna Kumar Gurung of Chichila-4, according to Rural Municipality Chair Pasang Nurbu Sherpa.

Gurung family lost foodstuff, and all other belongings in the fire. It is said none was at home when the incident happened.
