India returnee dies at Bharatpur Hospital

CHITWAN: A youth who had recently returned from India has died in the course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.

Originally from Madi of Chitwan, the 27-year-old man, who was admitted to Bharatpur Hospital after he complained of respiratory complications, has died on Saturday morning in the course of treatment.

“The patient had respiratory problems and fever. He died in the course of treatment on Saturday morning,” said Dr Pramod Paudel.

According to Paudel, he had a bout of fever and he was put on ventilator this morning. His condition went worse and passed away at 10:30 am.

It is learnt that the youth had returned home from India 10 days ago. He had gone to New Delhi for the treatment of his fractured backbone eight months ago, according to his family sources.

He had been kept in quarantine upon his return from India. He was admitted to Bharatpur Hospital on Friday after he complained of fever and respiratory problems.
